Here at Fresh Tracks Shop we have been working our quarantine away. The days are quickly blending into each other as the projects flow across our work benches. Sage has been sewing masks and Adam has been building projects for our house & working on his furniture building skills. He is currently working on a Hank Chair and just finished up some sweet white oak doors in our hallway.
It is strange to be here in Bend during this spring season, as we are usually down in the Mojave Desert walking surveys for Desert Tortoises. We miss churning out the miles, witnessing the desert blooms, and all the hundreds of surprising discoveries each day. For now we are making the most of being home, but look forward to a time where it feels safe enough to go back to work.
We hope you are all staying well and finding some joy in these strange times. Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones. We are so thankful to those of you who are working on the front lines, like our grocery workers, mail delivery folks, and everyone in healthcare. Huge cheers to those of you who continue to stay home and flatten the curve.
