About Fresh Tracks Shop

We are an adventurous couple who split our time between working as field biologists in the Mojave Desert and making things while we are home in Bend, Oregon. Here at Fresh Tracks Shop, we have a woodworker and a textile artist living under one roof. We occasionally come together for a combined project (like our camp chairs), and we often can be found discussing our projects over a pot of green tea in the mornings before we dive into our shops for the day. Each spring and fall we clean up our shops, unplug the machines, and hop into our trucks for our field season. We don’t make much besides good meals and the occasional hand stitched item while we are down in the Mojave, but something about walking in the desert helps us find inspiration for when we return home each summer and winter. We have been experimenting with keeping our Etsy shop open while we are away, shipping things from various post offices throughout the Mojave- if you order something in April or September, it will most likely be packaged up in our pop top camper!

Adam finds great joy in making things from wood in his small garage based shop. He loves making cabinets that bring a kitchen to life, heirloom quality furniture, and smaller items that let wood shine in everyday life, like a cutting board or bottle opener.

Sage loves making functional things from fabric & leather. Bags, wallets,  wool ear bands, reusable hand warmers, and mountain shaped pillows have been keeping her busy lately.
